Product Information:

The principal species we cut are Oak, Douglas Fir, Mixed softwoods and Elm. These can be converted into almost anything. The Iist below attempts to outline most products - if what you require is not on the list, we probably still produce it, please contact us, phone, fax or e-mail

Oak

Fresh Sawn Oak sawn from the log for :

Constructional timbers and beams for traditional timber framing (both new build and restoration).
Manufacture of Lock Gates and other structural applications such as sea defence and dock work.
Fencing Oak full range of Oak posts and rails morticed and nailed. Close boarded fencing using arris rails and feather edged boards. We can also offer cleft Oak and Chestnut rails

Air-dried & Kiln-dried Seasoned Oak

4/6 year dried beams re-sawn to order.

Douglas Fir

Sawn from the log, constructional timbers, long lengths, and big sections for use in buildings, roofs, bridges and other applications where either appearance and/or strength are important.
Douglas Fir can be graded to C24.
In heavy and industrial construction it is used for large members, timber bridges and retaining walls.

Mixed Softwood

Mainly sawn from spruce, again available in all sections and long lengths
We supply Softwoods for:

Construction and Civil Engineering
Stocks of standard carcassing sections 100 x 47 up to 300 x 300 in 6.0M lengths, untreated or tanalised.
300 x 300 up to 12.0M long.
Tunnel heading sets and other site timbers.
Fencing all types of post and rail. morticed and nailed, close boarded, tanalised and untreated, many standard sizes from stock.
Railway sleepers, tanalised and untreated, 8' 6" x 10" x 5" from stock - used for landscaping, site timbers and silos.
Marking out pegs and profile boards.

Elm

Available for constructional and renovation work, subject to log availability.

Other Products

Waney edged cladding and weatherboarding, supplied in Elm, Larch, Fir, Western Red Cedar

Machine Rounded Softwood

Stocks of round and half round posts, rails and landscaping timbers, up to 6" diameter.

Gates

Full range of field gates and entrance gates, CCA treated, supplied complete with gate posts and galvanised ironwork.

Oak Flooring

Prime and character grade 21mm thick 125mm to 250mm width Oak flooring, tongue and groove, end matched.

Woodchip

Mixed hardwood and softwood chip suitable for equestrian riding surfaces.
Weed suppression and landscaping.
Delivered in bulk loads.

Timber Bollards

Oak, Douglas Fir or Softwood, sawn or PAR, weathered topped, grooved - produced to any design.
Treated or untreated.

Treatment

Green and Brown CCA and Tanalith 'E'.
